But wait a minute.  A Peter Parker death suggests that the Amazing Spider Man’s enemy, Doctor Octopus, wins!  Good is ‘supposed’ to win though, isn’t it?

Marvel the comic book producer has leaked the Peter Parker death for the #700 edition of the Amazing Spider-Man.  This is the end of one of the most popular series of comic books ever.  For 50 years, Parker used his alter ego Spider-Man to do what he thought were good deeds.
Spider-Man’s enemy Doctor Octopus takes Peter Parker’s mind and takes over the body of the Amazing Spider-Man.  Doctor Octopus is expected to use his intelligence and combine it with Peter Parker’s memories and spider powers. Doctor Octopus figures out that Spider-Man was actually a force for good in the world and takes over the body to continue on himself as The Superior Spider-Man.  Marvel will start this new comic series in January.
There is already speculation that with Doctor Octopus’ intelligence, Spider-Man will be able to get back together with his Mary Jane Watson and have a smoother relationship that Peter Parker had with her.

In his real life, he never really had good luck and could best be described as a socially handicapped nerd, so a Peter Parker death is an anathema to underdogs everywhere.

The final issue sees Doctor Octopus wearing the Spider-Man costume at the end.  Obviously with such a shocking change, the many fans have some very definite opinions and social media is exploding with reactions ranging from disbelief to death threats against Dan Slott the writer of Spider-Man.
Enjoy this reading from YouTube of the comic book by Arrival Point Productions:
By far, the reaction has been negative.  Some fans think the Peter Parker death will not be permanent and quote the return of other comic book heroes as proof – Superman and Captain America to name two.
Executives at Marvel Comics along with Dan Slott, insist that the changes are permanent, and look forward to the first edition of “The Superior Spider-Man” #1.  Slott said it was tough for him because Spider-Man was his hero since he was eight years old.  He also remarked that it is not just the fans of the comics who are upset, but fans of the movies, the toys and cartoons are also infuriated.
This isn’t the first time Spider-Man has died as the “Amazing Spider-Man”. He was killed off a few years ago for approximately three months before he revived. Fans who have read the leaked edition think there are way too many possible loopholes in the last issue to believe the Peter Parker death will last and that this new story line of the Superior Spider-Man will be longer than the 12 months the writers have stated.

God bless you!
