Megyn Kelly on nominees for Time’s Person of the Year award
Megyn Kelly is the news anchor for America Live on the Fox News Channel. She recently gave her opinion on Fox News about the nominees for Time magazine Person of the Year Award.
This year, Time magazine has 38 nominees for person of the year including President Obama and former President Bill Clinton as well as Hilary Clinton. There are Olympic athletes Michael Phelps and Gabby Douglas and some controversial entrants like the Russian punk group Pussy Riot and strange non-human nominees like the Mars Rover.
Sandra Fluke, Jon Stewart and Jay Z were singled out by Kelly as particularly not belonging on the nomination list.
According to Fox News Insider, Megyn Kelly reported that Time Magazine had reached an all-time low with the nomination of Sandra Fluke as Person of the Year.
Sandra Fluke is the law student from Georgetown University who is campaigning for government paid birth control for women while they are in school. She spoke at the Democratic convention this year and she claims that it costs a woman $3000.00 for birth control while attending university.
Kelly disagreed with this nomination saying Sandra Fluke does not belong in the same company as past nominees such as JFK.
Megyn Kelly felt that a more suitable nominee such as Malala Yousafzai, a 15-year-old girl who was shot in the head by a Taliban gunman in Pakistan, after she defied them by writing about the importance of education for females should be the winner of the award this year.
Megyn Kelly is extremely intelligent. She practiced law as a corporate litigator after she earned her BA in Political Science at Syracuse University and graduated from Albany Law School, with honors. She was also the editor of the Albany Law review. Before she joined Fox News, Kelly was a general assignment reporter for ABC News in Washington.
She is a beautiful woman, for sure. Look at any photo of her. She is a 40 year old mother of two and she looks like she is 21.
Even other women say she is smart and pretty. Amy Davidson, the editor of The New Yorker said “…Megyn Kelly is the brains of the Fox News operation.”
