Do You Know What Percentage of New Years Resolutions Actually Are Achieved By Your Fellow Man?
How many New Years resolutions will you achieve this year?
Here we are at the start of another year …. a traditional time for making New Year’s resolutions in the hope that we will be better this year than we were last year.
Some people will want to give up a bad habit – drinking, smoking, junk food, etc.
Others will want to change their physical appearance – lose weight, get fit, makeover, etc.
These are all good New Year’s resolutions, but the statistics show that we either don’t make them and/or aren’t very successful:
Percent of people who usually make New Years Resolutions | 45%
Percent of people who infrequently make New Years Resolutions | 17%
Percent of people who never will make New Years Resolutions | 38%
Percent of people who succeed in achieve their New Years Resolutions | 8%
Percent of people who have infrequent success | 49%
Percent of people who, each year, end up abandoning their resolutions | 24%
Don’t be too discouraged by these statistics, because it gets worse. Apparently the older we get, the les success we have at achieving them:
Percent of people in their 20s who achieve their resolution | 39%
Percent of people achieve their resolution over 50 years of age | 14%
This year, why not try some New Years resolutions that improve your relationships both with yourself and others. You will still get the benefits if you achieve them, even if only halfway:
