Will Mitt Romney be our US President-elect in 2 days? Real Clear Politics Polling Leads Us to Believe So

Will Mitt Romney be our US President-elect in 2 days? Real Clear Politics Polling Leads Us to Believe So

by  | on November 5, 2012

Nationwide polling, including Real Clear Politics, tend to have Mitt Romney winning his presidential bid.

mitt romneyHowever, historically, even just two days before “Super Tuesday” even the most intelligent of analysts can’t say for sure.  There are a plethora of multi-faceted elements that contribute to the “end of the story”, if you will.
Karl Rove¹, Senior Advisor to George W. Bush, gave an illustration on Fox News on Saturday of how Republicans have historically been behind in the early voting then end up gaining ground and/or winning on the election day voting.

Rove was commenting on how Mitt Romney had a national lead on the President of roughly 7%.  So, if history repeats itself, and the Republican has good election day results Obama will be another one-term president.

Mitt Romney, I believe it is safe to say, would not be opposed to that.  This has been a really close race, chock full of gaffes, mud-slinging, moving speeches, controversy, etc, as with any race, but who will end up the victor just two (2) days from now?

Will Mitt Romney, even with the “47% of Americans”, video gaffe emerge victorious?   Or will the “you didn’t build that flap” by Obama not hurt him enough and he emerges victorious?

The only thing we can be certain of, in an election fraught with uncertainty and tight competition:  two days from now, on “Super Tuesday” we will know who our next President is.   Unless, of course, we encounter another “hanging chad” fiasco like the Gore/Bush election of 2000.
I don’t think this will happen, and I’ll tell you why.  As much as I believe that we cannot be certain one way or another in this race;  I believe Mitt Romney will be the next President of the United States.
mitt romneyMatt Damon declaring “I am not an Obama fan”:
Individuals “not being a fan” of Obama is really not the point of this article.
So the “why” I just alluded to is that I believe the American people (the “not sures” and even the Obama leaning) have major questions in their minds about Obama’s INACTION while two courageous Navy S.E.A.L.S. died fighting off around 70-80 enemy troops (one full platoon, approx.) for seven hours.
It is for reasons such as this that I gave my rubber-stamp-approval for the challenger, Mitt Romney, and voted for same.

Let alone the fact that Romney is an unbelievably accomplished businessman with mostly unequaled business acumen, but that’s another blog post.

Obama made it clear that he doesn’t care about the nation he’s presided over these past four years.  I already knew this, and his behavior and actions in the Benghazi attacks only serve to confirm it.
This infuriated me, and it should infuriate you.  Two soldiers fought valiantly for seven (7) hours against 70-80 enemy soldiers when there were U.S. Marines standing at the ready not more than ONE hour away!
Regardless of where the pollsters of Real Clear Politics, Rasmussen, Gallup, etc, hold the race now, as close as it is, I believe it is for these reasons of paramount importance that Mitt Romney will prevail against the incumbent.
mitt romneyI believe this election goes FAR DEEPER than Republican versus Democrat, or Conservative versus Liberal.  Please read the Charles Krauthammer commentary that outlines how important this election is, and simultaneously enjoyKrauthammer’s eloquently and profoundly written articleHERE.
Thank you.  I welcome any comments or questions you may have.  Just leave them in the comment section below.

The Google Keyword Tool: Learn the LAZY and EASY Way to get MASSIVE Traffic from the Elites

The Google Keyword Tool: Learn the LAZY and EASY Way to get MASSIVE Traffic from the Elites

by  | on November 4, 2012

Who are the best people in the world to learn from how to use the Google keyword tool to drive more traffic than you ever dreamed possible?

Well, the elites of course!  Wouldn’t you agree?  The Google keyword tool is not onlyessentialit is vital if you want and/or need (and I’m pretty sure you do) to drive traffic to your website.
What makes the Google Keyword tool so vital?  You want and need traffic.  How do I know you want and need traffic?  Well, I would assert that, perhaps, you wouldn’t be posting something on the Internet if you didn’t want as many people as possible to see your post.  Correct?

The Google keyword tool is about the most essential tool (or other keyword tools like Google’s) for analyzing Internet data to determine what key words you want to target on your blog post, or other Internet website.

Here are some basic, yet vital, instructions to know when using the Google keyword tool.

When using the Google keyword tool (or other keyword tools, for that matter), it is very important to choose keywords that will maximize your chances of ranking high in the search engines for your post/website.
For instance, when you enter in a word or phrase into the Google keyword tool that is most relevant to your subject; it will give you a myriad of words and phrases (keywords) that are relative to your subject.  Simply, pick a word or phrase that is (as mentioned above):
  1. Relevant to your topic
  2. Gets at least 10,000 searches per month
  3. Has low competition

Here is a video by Dave Wood, one of the world’s top 10 most intellectually adept at using the Google Keyword tool (and SEO, of course).  Watch the “Lazy Man’s Guide to Extracting Money (or free/organic traffic) from Google” (click the link and it will begin playing):

Now the information in that video you just watched, alone, is worth thousands, if not tens of thousands of dollars (if you actually watched it you’ll agree).   You don’t have to thank me for sharing it with you, though.  :)
But that is just one video in the series, and it talks about more than just the Google keyword tool.  It also talks about:
  • Making your post/website go viral by linking to other sites
  • Creating back links, automatically and instantaneously
  • Using software social “aggregators” (like Ping.FM, TribePro, OnlyWire, HootSuite, etc) to syndicate your posts
  • Having your posts be automatically, via RSS feeds, shared out with maximum exposure all over the Internet
So, I hope you enjoyed this article and found it useful.  I encourage you to browse around on that page above where you watched the video and find the other videos in that series.   You will find the other videos in that series extremely helpful, vital, and valuable!  I would say that the information in that entire series is worth at least $100,000 to you (if you’re an online merchant of any kind) if you apply what Dave Wood teaches…and they’re 100% FREE (the 4-letter “F-word” everyone likes)!

God bless you!

The Ocean Waves are FREE! DIY (Do It Yourself) Wave Power!

The Ocean Waves are FREE! DIY (Do It Yourself) Wave Power!

by  | on November 2, 2012

Did you know that you can generate wave power from the Ocean Waves?

Did you also know that the world’s ocean waves hold as much as 10 TRILLION watts?  That’s some SERIOUS wave power!

Watch this video, especially the part where the waves come in and start taking entire buildings with them!  Clearly, we’re not talking about generating power from a Tsunami wave as the most important thing during a Tsunami is saving lives!   When watching it, just imagine how useful this kind of power can be, even if destructive from time to time.

Here is an excerpt taken from a Popular Mechanics article:†
“According to some estimates, ocean waves around the world could hold up to 10 trillion watts of energy. If humans could harness that energy, we would be able to generate renewable, predictable and pollution-free electricity. But so far, few large-scale wave-energy projects have made it off the diving board—which means that ocean-wave technology is a free-for-all in terms of design. ‘There are many, many different types of devices,’ says Paul Jacobson, an ocean-energy leader at the Electric Power Research Institute. ‘The technology hasn’t developed to the point where a lot of the designs have been shaken out yet. And so it remains to be seen which devices will turn out to be the most cost-effective and efficient.’
These few ocean-power designs could help us to ride the wave into the future of energy”

But can ocean wave power be generated by Joe Consumer, you and I?

Honestly, not very easily.  There isn’t a lot of information out there that would make it easy, yet, to DIY.   And the real challenges to do-it-yourselfers lie in the enormous size of some of the equipment that is needed effectively generate wave power.

But for now, here are a few commercial wave power designs to pique your curiosity.  Also, from Popular Mechanics.†

1. The Oyster, by Aquamarine Power
Wave Power
Wave Power

Wave Power
Much like its namesake mollusk, the Oyster sits on the seabed, opening and closing its jaws. The device is a large hinged flap attached to the ocean floor at a depth of about 35 feet. As the flap opens and closes, it drives hydraulic pistons that squirt high-pressure water onshore, where it drives a conventional hydroelectric turbine. “In essence, the Oyster is simply a large pump which provides the power source for a conventional onshore hydroelectric power plant,” says Carrie Clement, a spokeswoman for Aquamarine.† ¹

2. GreenWAVE, by Oceanlinx
Wave Power
When it’s working, the greenWAVE sounds like a big animal breathing, Tom Denniss, greenWAVE’s founder says. And as the vent breathes in and out, it turns a turbine hooked up to a generator. Each device measures 82 by 50 feet and has a 1-megawatt capacity. Oceanlinx has plans to develop a permanent version in Australia or Mexico, which it hopes to expand into a wave farm. GreenWAVE is relatively inexpensive as well, Denniss argues, because it’s made mostly of concrete, weathers ocean storms easily and has no moving parts underwater.† ²
3. Autonomous Wave Power Buoy, by Ocean Power Technologies
Wave Power
The PowerBuoy has two main parts: a moving float that’s 5 feet in diameter by 5 feet tall and a 25-foot-tall spar anchoring it. When the float bobs up and down on the wave, it tugs on the spar. That stretching gets translated into electricity by a rotary motor and generator.
One significant challenge to the design, says Phil Hart, OPT’s chief technology officer, was getting the buoy to properly resist the waves. In order to get electricity out of puny waves, the resistance between the float and the spar needs to be low—otherwise, the weakling wave won’t move the buoy at all. But bigger waves contain more energy, and by increasing the force needed to move the float, OPT can harness more of that energy. Thus, PowerBuoy needs low resistance at some times and high resistance at other times. To solve the problem, they’ve implemented a computer that adjusts the device’s resistance 10 times per second, leading to a big increase in efficiency.
Each PowerBuoy currently operating off the coast of Hawaii has a capacity of 0.04 megawatts, but an upcoming installation in Scotland may be able to generate up to 0.15 megawatts.† ³
So, as you can clearly see there are a lot of great ways already being implemented and designed to generate wave power.  Again, there really aren’t too many ways to generate wave power for your own home, as the title of this article lead you to believe, but I believe you enjoyed this article nonetheless and found it interesting.
Please leave your comments in the comment section below.  What do you think about wave power, yourself?
God bless you!

Republican or Democrat. Conservative or Liberal. Few Would Argue with the Veracity of this Commentary

Republican or Democrat. Conservative or Liberal. Few Would Argue with the Veracity of this Krauthammer Commentary

by  | on November 2, 2012

Krauthammer tells it like it really is.  I don’t care where you’re positioned politically or ideologically;  you will love this short and concise article (yet it says so much).

…and I would be very surprised if anyone disagrees with it, but lets hear it if you do (leave comments below)!

Charles Krauthammer does a beautiful job of making this nothing but a commentary about the way things are in this, the largest political stage in the world:  the United States Presidential race.

This is in stark contrast to the sales pitch that is the typical, propaganda-ridden, biased mainstream news article.

Krauthammer shows that he truly has the pulse and heartbeat of U.S. Presidential politics over the past several decades.

I truly enjoyed this article, and I fully believe you will too!
Without further ado…

The choice

By Charles Krauthammer, Thursday, November 1, 4:22 PM

“Ronald Reagan changed the trajectory of America in a way that Richard Nixon did not and in a way that Bill Clinton did not.” That was Barack Obama in 2008. And he was right. Reagan was an ideological inflection point, ending a 50-year liberal ascendancy and beginning a 30-year conservative ascendancy.
It is common for one party to take control and enact its ideological agenda. Ascendancy, however, occurs only when the opposition inevitably regains power and then proceeds to accept the basic premises of the preceding revolution.
Thus, Republicans railed for 20 years against the New Deal. Yet when they regained the White House in 1953, they kept the New Deal intact.
And when Nixon followed LBJ’s Great Society — liberalism’s second wave — he didn’t repeal it. He actually expanded it. Nixon created the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), gave teeth to the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and institutionalized affirmative action — major adornments of contemporary liberalism.
Until Reagan. Ten minutes into his presidency, Reagan declares that “government is not the solution to our problem, government is the problem.” Having thus rhetorically rejected the very premise of the New Deal/Great Society, he sets about attacking its foundations — with radical tax reduction, major deregulation, a frontal challenge to unionism (breaking the air traffic controllers for striking illegally) and an (only partially successful) attempt at restraining government growth.
Reaganism’s ascendancy was confirmed when the other guys came to power and their leader, Bill Clinton, declared (in his 1996 State of the Union address) that “the era of big government is over” — and then abolished welfare, the centerpiece “relief” program of modern liberalism.
In Britain, the same phenomenon: Tony Blair did to Thatcherism what Clinton did to Reaganism. He made it the norm.
Obama’s intention has always been to re-normalize, to reverse ideological course, to be the anti-Reagan — the author of a new liberal ascendancy. Nor did he hide his ambition. In his February 2009 address to Congress he declared his intention to transform America. This was no abstraction. He would do it in three areas: health care, education and energy.
Think about that. Health care is one-sixth of the economy. Education is the future. And energy is the lifeblood of any advanced country — control pricing and production, and you’ve controlled the industrial economy.
And it wasn’t just rhetoric. He enacted liberalism’s holy grail: the nationalization of health care. His $830 billion stimulus, by far the largest spending bill in U.S. history, massively injected government into the free market — lavishing immense amounts of tax dollars onfavored companies and industries in a naked display of industrial policy.
And what Obama failed to pass through Congress, he enacted unilaterally by executive action. He could not pass cap-and-trade, but his EPA is killing coal. (No new coal-fired power plant would ever be built.) In 2006, liberals failed legislatively to gut welfare’s work requirement. Obama’s new Health and Human Services rule does that by fiat. Continued in a second term, it would abolish welfare reform as we know it — just as in a second term, natural gas will follow coal, as Obama’s EPA regulates fracking into noncompetitiveness.
Government grows in size and power as the individual shrinks into dependency. Until the tipping point where dependency becomes the new norm — as it is in Europe, where even minor retrenchment of the entitlement state has led to despair and, for the more energetic, rioting.
An Obama second term means that the movement toward European-style social democracy continues, in part by legislation, in part by executive decree. The American experiment — the more individualistic, energetic, innovative, risk-taking model of democratic governance — continues to recede, yielding to the supervised life of the entitlement state.
If Obama loses, however, his presidency becomes a historical parenthesis, a passing interlude of overreaching hyper-liberalism, rejected by a center-right country that is 80 percent nonliberal.
Should they summon the skill and dexterity, Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan could guide the country to the restoration of a more austere and modest government with more restrained entitlements and a more equitable and efficient tax code. Those achievements alone would mark a new trajectory — a return to what Reagan started three decades ago.
Every four years we are told that the coming election is the most important of one’s life. This time it might actually be true. At stake is the relation between citizen and state, the very nature of the American social contract.”
That was Charles Krauthammer’s Washington Post article verbatim.  But, in case you want to see it in its original form at the Post’s website, you may click here:  http://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions/charles-krauthammer-the-choice/2012/11/01/59b5bed0-2445-11e2-9313-3c7f59038d93_story.html

Wow, right?  Did you enjoy this Krauthammer offering as much as I did?  I suppose you can’t quite answer that, perhaps, because you don’t fully know how much I enjoyed it!  LOL
Anyhow, I love how Krauthammer forms his words with such eloquence!  Masterful articulation.  Saying so much, yet remaining concise, and to-the-point.
I wanna be just like Charles Krauthammer “when I grow up”.  (I’m 36 already).  I’ve always enjoyed writing, and feel I’m pretty good at it in my own right.  But I can always get better, yeah?

The Sun is FREE! DIY (Do It Yourself) Solar Power!

The Sun is FREE! DIY (Do It Yourself) Solar Power!

by  | on November 1, 2012

Just like with the lighting up of your home with wind power;  you don’t need to wait until the power companies bring solar  power to you.

solar power
Let’s start with some fun facts about the sun for your amusement, shall we?
  1. Four (4) million tons of hydrogen are consumed by the sun every second.
  2. The sun is made up of 75% hydrogen, 23% helium and 2% heavier elements.
  3. Approximately 109 planet earths would fit on the surface of the sun.
  4. More than one million planet earths would fit on the inside of the sun.
  5. The sun is, rounded up, 93 million miles from you and I, here on earth.
  6. At its core, the sun is about 27 million degrees Fahrenheit (15 million Celsius).
  7. 100,000,000,000 (100 billion) billion tons of dynamite would have to be detonated every second to match the energy produced by the sun every second.
  8. I would weigh 5,600 pounds on the sun.  I’m not going to tell you how much that makes me on earth.  That’s a secret!  To figure out how much YOU would weigh on the sun;  just multiply 28 times your weight (but I forbid you to reverse calculate that to find my weight, lol).

Did you catch that one, most relevant, fun fact there?

solar powerOne Hundred BILLION sticks of dynamite would have to detonate every second to equal the energy the sun produces every second.  Now that’s solar POWER, yeah?

Before we get into the “nitty-gritty”, “meat and potatoes” of this article…enjoy this funny commercial from the Planet Green folks, posted on YouTube by http://www.simple-gold.com/.  We’ll just call this a “humorous interlude”:

But is solar power really something we can “DIY” from home?
Well, the good folks at www.GreenPowerScience.com (watch the video right below this paragraph) are here to answer that question for you.  Note:  These are some of the best instructional videos I have found on YouTube.  I am always super impressed with these Green Power Science people (Dan and Denise Rojas) and how well made their instructions are in YouTube form.

Here is a video from the Discovery Channel showing how solar power is made in a typical factory.  This video, of course, doesn’t lend itself to showing us how to make our own, but is very interesting and informative to watch nonetheless.

If the above videos aren’t enough to help you on your way to garnering free solar power for your home, here is a written, how-to guide from Michael Graham Richard from www.TreeHugger.com.

Making Cheap, Inexpensive DIY Solar Panels at Home

“Mike Davis is an astronomer. To practice his hobby away from the light-pollution of cities, he bought some land in a remote part of Arizona. But there was a problem: No electricity…. But he’s a resourceful fellow. He built some home-made solar panels using inexpensive blemished and damaged solar cells from eBay! That might be even cooler, though less romantic, than the couple who got their solar panels via their wedding registry.†
Read on for more photos and some technical details to give you an idea of how he did it.
I bought a couple of bricks of 3 X 6 mono-crystalline solar cells. It takes a total of 36 of these type solar cells wired in series to make a panel. Each cell produces about 1/2 Volt. 36 in series would give about 18 volts which would be good for charging 12 volt batteries. (Yes, you really need that high a Voltage to effectively charge 12 Volt batteries) This type of solar cell is as thin as paper and as brittle and fragile as glass.
A solar panel is really just a shallow box. So I started out by building myself a shallow box. I made the box shallow so the sides wouldn’t shade the solar cells when the sun comes at an angle from the sides.
Next I cut two pieces of mason-ite peg-board to fit inside the wells. These pieces of peg-board will be the substrates that each sub-panel will be built on.  To protect the solar cells from the weather, the panel will have a plexi-glass front.I laid out the cells on that grid pattern upside-down so I could solder them together. All 18 cells on each half panel need to be soldered together in series, then both half panels need to be connected in series to get the desired voltage.
I used a low Wattage soldering iron and fine rosin-core solder. I also used a rosin pen on the solder points on the back of the cells before soldering. Use a real light touch with the soldering iron. The cells are thin and delicate. If you push too hard, you will break the cells.
I drilled a hole in the back of the panel near the top for the wires to exit. Each solar panel in a solar power system needs a blocking diode in series with it to prevent the panel from discharging your batteries at night or during cloudy weather. I added a polarized two-pin jones plug to the end of the panel wires.
The finished solar power product, produces 18.8 volts and 3.05 Amps in the sun.
How much did it cost?
$104.85.
Not bad, though of course there’s a lot of labor needed to actually build the thing, and you need the skills in the first place. Not a project for everybody, but those with the courage will certainly have a lot of fun.”
As you can see, with a little bit of effort and very little money invested;  solar power for your own home can be a REALITY!
As I mentioned in my previous article about wind power;  these kinds of investments can be made by hiring a company to do it.  In one example, I know that an investment into solar power and/or wind power for your home, it is calculated that you can be at your investment break-even point seven (7) years after you pay the upfront costs to a company to build them for you.
In other words, you will have saved that much, over the 7-year span, in what you would have paid to the power companies for your natural gas, electric/lighting and/or oil furnace costs during that time – to equal what you paid the company to build your solar power and/or wind power equipment.
Up next:  ocean wave power.
