A NEW Word! Have you yet heard of a "Toucheption" in Professional Football? Was it the Green Bay Packers or Seattle Seahawks who completed the "Toucheption"? ;)

A BRAND NEW word for the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks and the English language: "Toucheption"!

Green Bay Packers
Green Bay Packers

The NFL's replacement refs, which my uncle just informed me of, are 2nd division (lesser than 1st division) College football refs who are inserted into the NFL to ref the games while the world's-best football refs are in a union lockout. The Green Bay Packers are the most recent victims of the FAR-less-than-PAR referees.

Tonight's Monday Night NFL game between the Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers was an example of the need for an END to the dispute between the NFL's referee union and Roger Goodell, the commissioner of the NFL.

This will be discussed AD NAUSEUM; for the next several weeks and months, and will go down in history as the most controversial (not to mention GAME CHANGING) touchdown call ever!

The Green Bay Packers, VERY FEW would disagree, got a win stolen from them tonight by the NFL's replacement refs. As an AVID Seattle Seahawk's fan, I'm THRILLED for the win, but it is bittersweet to say the least.

I love the win, but I certainly don't like how "we" got it!

One thing to really consider, however, and this is a perspective I thought about tonight. If the referrees make bad calls in any given game; then they're going to be making bad calls for both teams. So that still keeps it a level playing field, right?

It's not like they sub out the bad refs after one team gets bad calls, bring in good refs, and the other team gets good calls. Anyways, I'm all for fair play and all that, so I would rather not have bad refs, but this certainly takes the pain away after the crazy controversy surrounding Monday night football tonight.

So, now to explain this NEW word: Toucheption! This is a "portmanteau" word combining touchdown and interception. This play should have been ruled an interception, giving the Green Bay Packers the win, but it was ruled a touchdown. So, we've introduced a brand new word to the English language, and I'm sure Webster will be adding it to his big book before too long! :)

So if this should have really been ruled an interception by Jennings of the Green Bay Packers, could we say that this is the "first time in NFL history that a Quarterback threw an interception for the WIN"?!

LOL. No, I'm only kidding, but it is funny to think about, isn't it?

Anyways, the Seahawks played a GREAT game, having sacked Aaron Rodgers 8 times in the game! That's how you have to beat him, right? Don't let the reigning NFL MVP throw the ball!
God bless you!
